Episode 25 the lads chat with Billy Moore, Bad boy turn good Billy Moore grew up on the mean streets of Liverpool . After falling in with the wrong crowd as an early age he became a career criminal with a serious drug habit and spent 15 years behind bars in 22 different prisons including the notorious Thai prison Klong Prem ironically known as The Bangkok Hilton. Billy documented his experience in the book A Prayer Before Dawn that has now been made into a critically acclaimed movie of the same name! An incredible story of hope!

The lads are joined on this podcast with Mark Geary. Touring and performing live is Mark’s lifeblood. He has been featured on bills with musicians as diverse as Joe Strummer, Elvis Costello, The Pretenders, Coldplay, The Frames and The Swell Season among others.
Mark Geary is a Dublin born musician who has split his time between Ireland and New York City over the last 25 years. He spent his early years performing in NYC at the famed Sin-e Café alongside other up and coming musicians, including friend Jeff Buckley and Sinead O'Connor garnering respect and attention from both audiences and fellow artists.
Since 2002, Mark has released 5 studio albums and 2 live recordings. His second album, the acclaimed Ghosts, was named 2005’s Album of the Year by the Irish Voice and referred to by Billboard Magazine as “a collection of superb songs delivered with a quiet intensity that will endear itself to listeners”.
In November of 2013, Mark collaborated with Glen Hansard on a new version of his song Christmas Biscuits as a charity single for St. Vincent DePaul of Ireland. The song hit the Top 40 and was made the song of the week on Today FM, Ireland’s largest commercial radio station.
Mark will soon be 25 years drink and drug free and joins us this week to discuss his journey in sobriety so far.

In EP023 the lads are joined by Lulu Sinnot. Lulu was born in Dun laoghaire Dublin in 1953. She has worked all over the world in many different occupations including managing hotels, restaurants, Chefing, waiting tables and au pairing in Ireland, The Black Forest, Paris, San Francisco, California and Italy amongst others. She then had an underwater video business in Mexico for several years. After moving back to Ireland in 1993 she had a daughter Clare with her second husband Barry. Barry tragically passed away 4 years ago during his Erasmus year in Bolivia. She worked for 17 years as a social care assistant and a couple of years back studied Psychology and did an Erasmus year in Berlin. Lulu hasn’t drank alcohol or used drugs in 10 years

Gavan is a Galway Native. From the age of 16 he abused alcohol and drugs and found himself in rehab at 21. After getting clean and sober he fell in love with surfing and diving and the great outdoors in general. He then became a saturation diver, which brought him all over the world for 10 years repairing oil rigs. Several years ago he started taking part in extreme endurance events and is probably best known for his record breaking 3000 mile solo row across the Atlantic in 2017.
